Tomorrow (Wednesday, Novemebr 16, 2016, op: PD.), Mo Bro Ben Miller will take on an epic Move challenge in an attempt to map a giant Mo across the South of England. Ben will ride a tandem bike, alone, from dawn to dusk for 100K to highlight the crisis in men’s health: that too many men are dying too young.
Ben is getting on the Move because every hour in the UK a man dies from prostate cancer and each day 13 men take their own lives – that’s simply too many preventable deaths and too many empty saddles.
Ben Miller says: “Something is very wrong in the vale of British men’s health when on an average day, one man dies every hour from prostate cancer, and thirteen men take their own lives. How is that an average day?
“As a gentleman who has recently celebrated his fiftieth year, and as a long-standing supporter of Movember, I’m taking on an epic Move challenge this Movember to do my bit for men’s health and indeed my own.”
Owen Sharp, Movember Foundation CEO says: “We are thrilled that Ben Miller is donning his lycra and quite literally joining the movement for men’s health this Movember. Our fathers, partners, brothers and friends are facing this health crisis, and without people talking, taking action and giving money, nothing will change.
“The Movember Foundation wants our men alive, well and enjoying life, so we urge more men across the nation to take on a physical challenge of their own; raise funds for men’s health while you do something good for your own health.”
To donate to Ben’s Map a Mo challenge – text BENM16 £5 (or the amount you’d like to donate) to 70070 or donate to his MoSpace.
